How can photos tell us what is wrong with your paving?
Good photos let us form a first view before anyone travels. They will not replace a site check, but they usually tell us whether the problem is a local dip, a line of settlement, root lift or water standing on an otherwise sound surface. That means the first reply you get already explains the likely cause and the type of repair.

- One close-up of the worst spot, with a shoe or tape measure for scale
- One low-angle shot along the surface, which shows dips and humps clearly
- A straight edge or spirit level laid across the dip, if you have one
- A photo taken after rain or watering if puddles form

A shared terrace, pool surround or entrance in a community of owners is a common element, so the owners' meeting must approve the work under the Horizontal Property Law, with the majority confirmed by the administrator. For private paving, the procedure follows Nerja's current ordinance, which the town hall can clarify. Work affecting the public footway or a vehicle crossing normally needs a separate authorisation of its own.
